Realistically SEO is all about hard work, dedication and patience it is hard to get good results quickly unless you have the knowledge. And the only way you gain this knowledge is through experience and trial and error. SEO is a very simple subject to understand with a handful of simple rules, if you stick to these rules your site will climb the ranks and also increase its value in page rank.

Once you have come to terms with the basic principles you will have the knowledge to promote any site for any keyword. The only difference that you will find is the amount of work you will have to put in.
